Jobs and gift certificates

Rachal got fired from one of her two jobs. Brookhaven college decided that for the students' sake, they needed to provide the consistency of a single instructor for the rest of the semester, rather than a series of substitutes. (If you're on my medical filter, you know why she's been missing work). While not unexpected, this is disappointing, and kinda leads me to my next question:

I won it as part of a prize pack, by phoning a radio station before I quite realized what they were giving away. I think I'll actually keep and read the book she, uh, wrote, but the gift certificate is available at a discount to be named later. If I have no takers, I may convert it to cash by buying her DVDs and running them over to the used media store.
