Ecks-mas in Idaho
Dec. 27th, 2010 12:18 amGot to Idaho safely and on time, despite first leg of plane trip being cancelled.
Snow heavy on ground since arrival, but no more has fallen and 98% of remainder has melted. I am apparently not the only person who drives through ice patches on purpose with the intent of breaking them up for the benefit of the next motorist.
Baked many, many kolaches. They are going over well with local consumers, and I may bake more on my return to Texas.
Played a few rounds of a Kinect game with my sister's youngest daughter. Didn't, quite, fall over with a cardiac infarction.
Typing this from a hand-me-down laptop given by my sister-in-law, which is only a few years old and still a fairly spiffy machine.
Limping gamely along through my mother's dial-up connection (*shudder*). Also, gamely went to church this morning. Didn't, quite, burst into flames.
Haven't won any radio contests remotely, but not counting myself out yet.
Having a good time. Back in Texas Thursday.
