Warm fuzzies

Have had a lovely weekend. Rachal and I basically missed the nasty hailstorm by going to see _Die Another Day_; it wasn't until the theater's power briefly cut out that we thought we heard rain ... and wasn't till I noticed many leaves in the street that I started thinking that more might have been more falling out of the sky than just water.

I had a good frisbee golf game -- although I came in second, the guy who won is the *other* poor player of our group, and it was nice to see him collect the pot by playing well, not just from the rest of us playing poorly. (He sank a 48-foot putt, then a 90-foot putt, and despite a late rally and much mind games from me, held us off and was overjoyed to collect his two dollars :>.

The only down-note is that Rachal is fighting a headache -- so instead of working on chores this afternoon, I've fetched Ibuprofin for her, and we shall cuddle for the rest of the afternoon. It's nice to have the option.


While out driving with Rachal, I've been making a point of flagging useful places close to our apartment. I noticed a pet hospital nearby, but Rachal told me that's not the one valkyrwench uses. She pointed Ali's out as we got even closer to home: "Noah's Ark Pet Hospital". I dunno if I like the implication of that one; I must assume their motto is something like, "We guarantee the survival of one breeding pair! All others will die 'orrible deaths."
