Rachal seems to be recovering from her pneumonia, although she slept through an appointment to get a chest X-ray and hasn't rescheduled it yet. I don't mind; I think she needed the sleep more than the X-ray. Her mood seems fair-to-good lately, although she and my father are both worried about me moonlighting -- she feels guilty that I'll be working more while she can't find a job, a thought I am trying to disabuse her of.

I'll be moving off my landlady's couch either in the middle or at the end of December. After having more destination options than I expected, I'll be taking valkyrwench and twfarlan up on their offer, and renting one room of their three-bedroom apartment. (For the first time in several months, I'll have my own room, with a door I can shut. Yay!) If my wife doesn't find a job that takes us elsewhere, she should be joining me soon -- I'm curious about how our three cats will get along with their four.

As for my day job, it goes: they're hurting for money, and don't like anyone working overtime. I don't quite follow the reasoning of sending me home each day when I could get caught up on the next day's rush -- I'll be doing the work sometime, and waiting till later means they have to pay more overtime to both myself and the production staff, while they wait for me to finish. Seems they should be more worried about me working 40+ hours per week than 8+ hours per day, but *shrug*
