Saw most of the stage play "Cats" last night, at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. The seats were better than I expected, given their source.

[rabbithole]

It was a good show, right up to the point where someone in the top balcony broke out a laser pointer, and then all hell broke loose.

By the time most of the cast had chased the red dot from one corner of the stage to another, and been made to run in *circlecirclecircles* that left Jennyanydots and Bustopher Jones in the orchestra pit, the set was wrecked and the script was abandoned.

Rumpleteazer called out that she thought it was Macavity with the laser pointer, but by the time security reached the balcony, he wasn't, you know, there.

...Actually, while the floor plan at Bass is a little weird, at least the sound system is better than Fair Park's.

LOL!

I was drinking when I read that, and almost choked myself. I needed that laugh this morning. *G*

Oh, my dear god.

Someone brought a laser pointer to CATS.

And the cast played along!

That is *TOO* fricken funny... :)

Actually, everything between the opening and closing "rabbithole" brackets is complete fiction. I was just amusing myself :>

I don't recall if the convention started on alt.callahans or LiveJournal, but some people have started making posts as if they've gone down Lewis Carroll's rabbit-hole to some first-person Wonderland of their own invention. (There's actually one day a year set aside for this, and they don't always get flagged). Depending on how congruent the fantasy writing is to their own lives, some of the rabbit-hole posts I've seen are hard to tell, right off, that they ain't real. Especially when the authors start describing a regular, boring day, and don't run into the zombies until later.
