This may be only a computer error, or I may be the target of someone's ire.

I was told by a DJ earlier today, as he tried to enter my name as a contest winner, that his computer said I was banned for life.

I'll know more at about 8:01 Monday morning, I hope.

I don't imagine I'm the most-frequent-flier of their winning listeners, but with my odd last name, I may have a greater tendency to stick in the mind.

I did think I recognized someone at the station earlier this week who'd been cross with me a couple of years ago, because she thought I'd been cheating when I'd only been following the instructions of another DJ. Basically, of all the possible scenarios I'm coming up with, perhaps half of them resemble paranoid conspiracy theories. I only hope that by 8:02 Monday, I'll have an entertaining anecdote. Perhaps they'll let my print company produce my own wanted posters...

Nothing yet. I've left two messages with the relevant promotions guy, and won't be in a flaming hurry to see him until after the Cirque du Soleil show opens that I may have won tickets to. In the meanwhile, even if this is a big misunderstanding, I was in short-term time-out with almost every station owned by this conglomerate before the current unpleasantness. If another two or three days go by with no response, however, I'll probably drive to their corporate office and try to see him in person.
